Gorgi Krlev is Associate Professor of Sustainability at ESCP Business School in Paris. He also holds a Visiting Professorship at Politecnico di Milano and is a Visiting Fellow at Kellogg College, University of Oxford.

Gorgi earned a PhD from the University of Oxford and has previously worked as a senior researcher at the University of Heidelberg. In his research, he deals with social entrepreneurship, social innovations and impact, with a particular focus on how cross-sector collaborations and new field emergence promote societal transformations and contribute to addressing environmental and social sustainability challenges.

His open access book Social Innovation: Comparative Perspectives received a best book award from the Public and Nonprofit Division of the Academy of Management (AOM). His new 2023 book Social Economy Science: Transforming the Economy & Making Society More Resilient was published by Oxford University Press.

Gorgi has won numerous other awards for his research, teaching and impact work. Most prominently: A First Prize by the Roman Herzog Institute (RHI) for research (on social impact) that matters to society. A Responsible Business Education Award from the Financial Times for TRANSFORM, a collaborative, open-source platform on innovation and entrepreneurship for sustainability. The Civil Society Research Impact Award of the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR) for putting social innovation and social entrepreneurship on the German policy agenda. An award by Poets & Quants as Best 40-Under-40 MBA Professor.

Gorgi serves on the Board of Directors of Euclid Network, the international network of impact-driven leaders supported by the European Commission.
