Curriculum

The Integrating Human Rights into Business certificates are designed to be practical and provide specific to real-life situations that business executives are and will be facing. The content frames and builds on the fast-paced and unprecedented ongoing developments that redesign the European corporate human rights, environmental and sustainability landscape.

The certificates will examine and provide answers to critical questions such as;

We recommend taking all four certificates together, but the programme is flexible and allows you to choose a single or combination of certificates best suited for you. This certificate introduces the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) as the overarching framework that influences today’s fast-changing corporate governance landscape, and how to introduce this into a company’s operations and the corporate group.

This certificate focuses on the practical application of integrating respect for human rights into global value chains. It will provide practical insights on how to identify and map human rights risks in the value chain, and how to engage and exercise leverage with business partners.

 2 weeks - February 2023

This certificate consists of three interrelated components: transparency, stakeholder engagement and remediation. It will consider practical lessons about how to remediate human rights harms, and how to put in place operational-level grievance mechanisms that comport with international responsible business conduct standards.

This certificate aims to help participants understand the various standards for people and the planet in a coherent way and to recognise the value of implementing the UNGPs due to diligence methodology to help business readiness on a wider set of expectations across climate, environment and human rights.
