Stefan Schmid heads the Chair of International Management and Strategic Management at ESCP Berlin Campus. He teaches International Management and Strategic Management in graduate programmes, post-graduate programmes and Ph.D. programmes. He is also actively involved in various executive education programmes.

Professor Schmid is a member of numerous academic associations and has strong links to the world of business. From 2008 to 2010, Stefan Schmid was Chairman of the International Management Division within the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB). Between 2012 and 2018 he served on the Board of the European International Business Academy (EIBA). He does intensive research in General Management, International Management and Strategic Management and has more than 100 publications. His book “International Management” (with M. Kutschker) is the best-selling German textbook in the field.
