Barilla - Advanced Management programme

Defining strategic direction and key priorities

One of the key factors in the success of ESCP is the constant collaboration with the most important national and international companies. The consolidated and long-standing cooperation with Barilla is a great example. In May 2016 starts the 5th edition of the Advanced Management Programme for Barilla Managers in partnership with the ESCP Turin Campus.
After the success of the previous editions and steps forward, today the Barilla Advanced Management Programme maintains its soul, while changing its perspectives.

Why this programme?

This one-week programme formula aims to boost intuition in 6 different core areas: strategy execution, effective leadership, finance, supply chain management, marketing, sales and innovation.

In 2011, Barilla’s strategy required a clear focus on internationalisation and value initiatives, as key drivers of growth. As L&D we identified the need to develop new profiles and adapt to driving the change through a full understanding of company and business complexity. The Advanced Management Programme is still considered to be the best tool to help people climb the career ladder and prepare them to take on more responsibilities in cross-functional position. By embracing Barilla’s new challenges and its strategic plan for the next few years the Programme, that ESCP Business School has re-designed with Barilla HR Experts, embodies the company’s strategic direction and key priorities.

Filippo ROMANINI, Learning & Development Director Barilla We believe ESCP has the perfect mix for us: they are very good listeners and help us imagine and design the best format plus they have an excellent international faculty to deliver the highest-rated programme.

“After having scouted through the world’s most important business schools, we selected ESCP as the ideal partner to design and deliver an international programme for Barilla’s high-potential middle managers. The Barilla Advanced Management Programme embodies the company’s strategic direction and key priorities.

Every year with ESCP’s staff we carry out a re-adaptation and re-design of the Advanced Management Programme to allow for changes within the company and meet participants’ needs and expectations. For this reason each edition of the Advanced Management Programme is different in terms of contents, professors and key targets, but with the same successful hands-on approach based on case study methodology. It will be a concrete opportunity for growth.”
